  3. Include a title page, introduction, body, conclusion, and a reference page.
  4. The introduction should describe or summarize the topic or problem. It might discuss the importance of the topic or how it affects you or society as a whole, or it might discuss or describe the unique terminology associated with the topic.
  5. The body of your paper should answer the questions posed in the problem. Explain how you approached and answered the question or solved the problem, and, for each question, show all steps involved. Be sure this is in paragraph format, not numbered answers like a homework assignment.
  6. The conclusion should summarize your thoughts about what you have determined from the data and your analysis, often with a broader personal or societal perspective in mind. Nothing new should be introduced in the conclusion that was not previously discussed in the body paragraphs.
  7. Include any tables of data or calculations, calculated values, and/or graphs associated with this problem in the body of your assignment.

philosophy-125-4

1. Read the following argument, then in 1-2 paragraphs evaluate it using the five criteria for evaluating arguments from our text. 2. In addition, search for fallacies within the argument. In 1-2 paragraphs, be sure to name, briefly define, and explain each fallacy you find. Though you won’t lose points for not finding ALL of the fallacies, the more fallacies you find, the more points you will earn overall. There are two sides you can believe about gun control: either you believe that guns create crimes or that guns prevent crimes. People that believe that guns create crimes want to increase gun control to the point that nobody in the United States will be able to own a gun except for the police force and the military, which is a terrible idea. People that believe guns can prevent crimes want to decrease gun control so that any US citizen can have access to the ammunition and firearms that the 2nd Amendment guarantees. According to a recent study by the Guns Are Freedom Institute, homes with firearms are safer overall than homes without guns, therefore each home should have at least one firearm, if not more. The only people that disagree with high rates of gun ownership are stupid liberals, who care more about endangered panda bears than the lives of American families. They say that people who own guns don’t actually care about safety, but this isn’t true. I own a gun and I care a lot about safety. Also, we know that guns are safe because safety includes the right to self-defense, and what better way to defend yourself or someone you care about than with a firearm. My friend once shot and killed a home intruder in the middle of the night. There is no evidence that calling 911 would have also been effective for her, so she did the right thing. This shows that the best way to protect yourself is access to a firearm. Most people agree that we should have less strict gun control laws, therefore the right thing to do is make it easier to purchase firearms and ammunition, not make it more difficult. If we increase gun control, millions of lives will be lost.

two short essay on immigration and ethnic relations in the u s 2

Part 1 of the final exam consists of two short essays.

The two following questions and write essays based on them. Each short essay should not be more than two/three pages (doubled-spaced).

USE ONLY THE ZIP FILES PART 1,2,3, AND 4. NO NEW RESOURCES FROM WEBSITES

1) Discuss what the history of immigration to the United States indicates about the nature of race/racism and/or ethnic groups, discrimination and prejudice, and ethnic hierarchies (as covered in the Race and Ethnicity in the United States class/readings) and how they change over time. Instead of just briefly summarizing U.S. immigration history, make sure you are applying the concepts discussed in the Race and Ethnicity class to understand aspects of US immigration history.

2) Among the four ethnic groups that we have studied for this part of the course (White Americans, African Americans, Asian Americans, or Hispanic/Latino Americans), which do you think is the most important for understanding race and ethnic relations in the United States? Explain why you think this particular ethnic group is the most important or interesting by comparing it to another ethnic group we have studied that you think is less important or interesting. You can argue for the relative importance of these ethnic groups in terms of their impact on American society, their position in the U.S. racial hierarchy, their socioeconomic status, assimilation patterns, internal diversity, the amount of discrimination/stereotyping they experience, or simply because you find the ethnic characteristics of one group to be more interesting than the other (you do not have to cover all these issues, but instead, select a few).

    Context

In this program, you have examined the role, concepts, and principles of health care policy and how legal and regulatory agencies interact with professional nursing practice. You have also looked closely at the factors that impact disparities in health care access. This understanding of health care policy, as well as the multicultural, socioeconomic, political, legal, and regulatory elements that affect individuals, communities, and vulnerable populations, positions nurses to bring about change through effective communication with colleagues, consumers, and officials. Added to this is your demonstrated knowledge of financial management and cost containment, as well as how they affect quality of care.

  • Assessment Instructions

For this assessment, write an executive summary analyzing the financial and regulatory impact of organizational compliance with a specific core measure of your choice. The summary must include recommendations for improving performance on the measure. You must be able to explain the financial implications associated with the measure, as well as its importance in terms of policy, regulation, and finance. This is another good opportunity to consult with a key stakeholder within the organization. Talking to someone who works closely with the organization’s finances can help you develop a deeper understanding of the financial aspects of compliance. You also need to suggest ways your organization can improve compliance and how you would implement changes and overcome obstacles. This may seem like an enormous undertaking, but you should approach it as if you were to present this information to your supervisor or manager. Keeping in mind that people in these positions do not have time to read a 10–12-page report, you would typically give them only an executive summary of your analyses and recommendations. That means that you will need to be very clear and very concise with the information you choose to include in the executive summary. Say as much as possible with as few words as possible.

    Directions

Select a core measure and investigate your organization’s compliance rate with the measure. In your executive summary, address the following:

    1. Compare the compliance rates of your organization with those of other organizations.
    2. Explain why the measure is important in terms of policy, regulation, and finance.
    3. Describe changes that could be made that would improve compliance with the measure.
    4. Identify the stakeholders who would be affected by the changes.
    5. Identify obstacles you would expect to encounter and explain strategies to overcome these obstacles.

    Additional Requirements

    • Format: Include a title page and references page. As this is an executive summary, do not use APA style and formatting. To determine the appropriate format, it may be helpful for you to review the documents used in your organization. How do they look? What kind of language is used in memos? These can help guide your development of this executive summary. Certainly, feel free to use bullet points as appropriate.
    • Length: Write a 2–3-page (maximum) summary of your information, not including the title page and references page.
    • References: You must still reference scholarly resources to support your work. Use at least three current scholarly or professional resources.
    • Font: Use 12-point, Times New Roman font.
